The all important Course Corrections
There's just no escaping the fact we each need from time to time
to re-calibrate our internal compasses and get back on course.
In the same manner we
rotate our automobile tires, check the air pressures and balance or have our
front in aliments readjusted, our spirit man also requires regular tune ups.
Life has a way of
wearing us down, throwing pot-wholes, speed-bumps and a host of other sorted
road hazards in our pathways. One day you're just gliding along trouble, hassle
free. Knowing exactly where you're going and assured that the route traveled is
the wises and best choice to guarantee a safe and successful arrival. Unplanned
for expenses, a personal illness, the lost of a love and or loved one,
all serve to loosen our
grip and unhinge our focus.
GOD never intended for
you and I to go it alone!
Our Spiritual lives need
regular maintenance, reconnecting to the source of all spiritual strength and
power is a must..., not an option for believers.
I have always found that
one of the most effective ways of reclaiming lost ground is by observing the
uses of periods of personal prayer and fasting. Like most situations in life,
the more rigorous the challenges and course you're on, the more necessary it will
be to incorporate seasons of self-denial and consecration. For all those who
can and will, 21 days will open doors that you never believed possible
and 40 days will change your life prospective forever.
Just listen to the words
recorded in Isaiah 58, describing the multitude of benefits
that come as a result of such powerful spiritual retooling...
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will
quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory
of the Lord will be your
rear guard.
9 Then you
will call, and the Lord will
answer;
you will
cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
9 Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
